William Tyson
Bill is a Managing Director and serves as the Head of Mergers & Acquisitions within Fifth Third’s Investment Banking group, a part of Fifth Third Securities, Inc. (“FTS”). He is responsible for assisting with the strategic direction of the M&A and Investment Banking platform within the Capital Markets division of Fifth Third, and for driving the Bank’s capital markets non-organic growth strategy.
Bill joined the Bank in 2016 after 18 years with BB&T, where he most recently served as Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of Investment Banking for BB&T Capital Markets (and predecessor, Scott & Stringfellow). Prior, he was a Managing Director at Wheat First Butcher Singer.
Bill earned a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and later completed The Executive Program (TEP) at the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration.
