Jeff Thieman

Jeff leads Fifth Third’s Financial Sponsors Group, a part of Fifth Third Securities, Inc. (“FTS”) where he is responsible for practice development, strategy, and delivery of Fifth Third Capital Markets advisory, debt and equity capital markets, and leveraged finance solutions to the private equity community. Previously, Jeff was a Managing Director with the Healthcare Corporate & Investment Banking group where he was the Head of Fifth Third Bank’s Healthcare Sponsor Leveraged Finance business. Jeff joined Fifth Third Bank in April of 1999 and progressed through various roles in Risk Management, Treasury Management, General Industries, Specialized Lending, Distressed Debt & Restructuring, and Healthcare. He was instrumental to bringing the Healthcare Corporate & Investment Banking group to market in 2006. In 2010, Jeff transitioned into the Bank’s Special Assets Group, where he led the distressed healthcare leverage loan portfolio. In 2011, he rejoined the Bank’s Healthcare Vertical as the Head of Sponsor Leveraged Finance. He attended The College of Wooster where he played varsity football and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University.
