Jason Nicolay

Jason is a Managing Director with Fifth Third’s Investment Banking group, a part of Fifth Third Securities Inc. (“FTS”). Jason joined FTS in 2025 to establish dedicated coverage of the digital infrastructure sector. He has over 20 years of advisory experience and over three years of operating experience at a private equity-backed broadband provider. During his career, Jason has completed hundreds of transactions, including capital raises (debt and equity), as well as sell-side and buy-side M&A for broadband providers, wireless operators, tower owners and developers, and data center operators and developers. Prior to joining Fifth Third, he served as SVP of Corporate Development at Fastwyre Broadband, backed by Madison Dearborn Partners. He was previously a Managing Director at Houlihan Lokey in the Technology Group and at MVP Capital (acquired by Houlihan). Earlier in his career, Jason practiced as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in accounting and advisory for over three years. Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting and business administration and a master’s degree in accounting and information systems from the University of Kansas.
