Shawn Sinel

Shawn is a Director with Fifth Third’s Healthcare Investment Banking group, a part of Fifth Third Securities, Inc. (“FTS”), and is a senior member of the Health Systems practice with a specialization in capital markets. Shawn joined Fifth Third in 2021 as a member of H2C Securities Inc., a healthcare-focused M&A and strategic advisory firm acquired by Fifth Third Bank in 2020. He is an accomplished capital markets professional with over 15 years of experience. Shawn has expertise assisting not-for-profits, municipalities, and state agencies in raising capital in the tax-exempt and taxable debt markets. In his capital markets execution role, his focus is on implementing capital strategies and financing solutions to help healthcare providers and related organizations achieve their goals. Previously, Shawn served as a senior vice president from 2016 - 2020 and a vice president from 2011-2015 in the Piper Sandler & Co. and Jefferies LLC public finance departments, respectively. In these positions, he specialized in the development and execution of comprehensive plans of finance for healthcare, not-for-profit, and municipal clients. Shawn received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with a concentration in Management from the University of Rochester.
