Richard Arendale

Richard provides capital markets solutions and strategic advisory services with Fifth Third’s Financial Sponsors Group, a part of Fifth Third Securities, Inc. (“FTS”). His direct financing and advisory experience includes both public and private debt and equity offerings, as well as acquisition and divestiture transactions for large and mid-cap sponsors and family offices. Richard works with Fifth Third’s Capital Markets and M&A teams to provide bank, bridge and bond financing for recapitalizations and acquisitions. He also advises on new platform investments and add-ons for existing portfolio companies. Prior to joining Fifth Third, Richard spent thirteen years with Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was most recently a Managing Director in Leveraged Finance. During his time at Bank of America, he originated and structured debt capital markets transactions for sponsor and corporate clients across multiple industries including healthcare, technology, media & telecom, industrials, and gaming, lodging & leisure. Richard started his banking career with AmSouth Bank in the Corporate Finance department. Richard received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Baylor University and a Master of Business Administration from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University.
