Russell Owen

Russ resides in Atlanta and serves as an Executive Director with Fifth Third’s Financial Sponsors Group, a part of Fifth Third Securities, Inc. (“FTS”). He offers a broad range of experience to his sponsor relationships having worked in M&A advisory, leveraged lending, corporate lending as well as private equity investing. Russ has developed expertise in M&A advisory, equity financings, bond financings, cash flow lending, asset-based lending, derivatives, and hedging. During his career, he has focused on advising on M&A transactions and debt & equity financings in a broad variety of industry sectors. Russ joined Fifth Third in 2017. Previously, Russ spent seven years at SunTrust Robinson-Humphrey in their corporate & investment bank focused on large corporate as well as healthcare investment banking clients. Before SunTrust Robinson-Humphrey, he worked at Morgan Keegan & Company, Wachovia Securities and Tucker Anthony in M&A advisory roles. Russ also previously worked at Huron Capital Partners and Citizens Capital in private equity investing roles. Russ received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The College of William & Mary and a Master of Business Administration with High Distinction from the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business. He currently holds the Series 7, 79 and 63 licenses from FINRA.
